Hangzhou

The congress will be held in Hangzhou, which is the captial of Zhejiang, is one of the old imperial Cities in China; the others are Xi'an, Luoyang, Kaifeng, Nanjing and Beijing.Marco Polo called Hangzhou the most distinguished and beautiful city in the world. The widely--traveled Venetian was fascinated with the spleendor of the huge edifices, the wide paved streets and the magnificient grounds along the shores of the Xihu, West Lake.He admired the people's friendiness, hospitality and peaceableness, their silken clothing and the women's valuable jewelry. In those days, Hangzhou had an estimated population of 1.6 million, and the city was a flourishing trade center.

In fact, Hangzhou is still one of the most beautiful destinations of a trip through China; and, like marco Polo, the visitor will be pleasantly surprised at the friendliness of the people of Hangzhou. It can be easily reached by train from Shanghai, but it is also possible to get there by plane from Beijing, Nanjing, Guangzhou and Hongkong.Hangzhou lies in northern Zhejiang at the southern end of the Grand Ganal. The city is linked to Central China by an extensive network of canals. Population: 5.28 million.

West Lake

The famous West Lake is like a brilliant pearl embedded in the beautiful and fertile shores of the East China Sea near the mouth of the Hangzhou Bay. The total area of the West Lake is about 60 square kilometers, of which the lake surface is 6.5 square kilometers. The view of the West Lake is simply enchanting, which offers many attractions for tourists at home and abroad.  The West Lake cultural landscape was added to the World Heritage List on June 24^th, 2011.

The Lingyin Monastery

The Lingyin Monastery, or the Monastery of Soul’s Retreat, is a famous historical site of the West Lake. Here exists the Lingyin Monastery, a famous ancient temple in China, in front of which there are Feilai Peak, Cold Spring, Longhong Cave and precious rock cave arts and queer and varied natural caves and gullies.

Qiantang River

Qiantang River, known as Zhejiang in ancient times, is also known as Zhejiang River, Zhijiang River and Luoshajiang River. Generally, Fuyang section of Zhejiang Province is called Fuchun River, and Hangzhou section in the lower reaches of Zhejiang Province is called Qiantang River. Qiantang River, named after the Classic of Mountains and Seas, is one of the main cradles of Wu and Yue culture. Qiantang River is the largest river in Zhejiang Province. From its source, it flows through southern Anhui Province and Zhejiang Province, with a basin area of 55,058 square kilometers and flows into the East China Sea via Hangzhou Bay. Known as the "first tide in the world", Qiantang River Tide is a natural wonder in the world, which is caused by the centrifugal effect of celestial gravity and the earth's rotation, and the special topography of the bell mouth of Hangzhou Bay.

Xixi National Wetland Park

Xixi National Wetland Park is located in the west of Hangzhou city, only 5 kilometers away from West Lake. It is the first national wetland park integrating urban wetland, agricultural wetland and cultural wetland in China. The total area of Xixi Wetland is about 11.7 square kilometers, of which the east area of Wuchang Port is 8.35 square kilometers, and the west area of Wuchang Port is 3.35 square kilometers. Wetland park is divided into eastern wetland ecological protection and cultivation area, central wetland ecological tourism and leisure area and western wetland ecological landscape enclosure area.

Impression West Lake

Impression West Lake is another series of "Impression" live performances of "Iron Triangle" after Impression Sanjie and Impression Lijiang. The music is led by Japanese musician Kitaro and Jane Zhang is the lead singer. Impression West Lake is a large-scale landscape performance created by "Impression West Lake Culture Development Co., Ltd." jointly established by Hangzhou Municipal Party Committee and Municipal Government, Zhejiang Radio and Television Group and Zhejiang Kane Group. A landscape performance created by the famous directors Zhang Yimou, Wang Chaoge and Fan Yue's "Iron Triangle" team. On March 30th, 2007, Impression West Lake was released as scheduled. Similarly, there was a performance on April 22^nd, 2010.

Romance of the song dynasty

Romance of the song dynasty is a three-dimensional panoramic large-scale song and dance created by Hangzhou Song Cheng Performing Arts Development Co., Ltd.. Romance of the song dynasty is divided into five plots: Light of Liangzhu, Banquet and Dance in Song Palace, Jinge Tiema, Legend of Xizi and Charming Hangzhou. Based on the historical allusions, myths and legends of Hangzhou, the play integrates the world's song and dance and acrobatic art, and uses modern high-tech means to create a dreamlike artistic conception. It performs the hardships of the ancient Liangzhu people, the glory of the Song Palace, the tragic Yue Jiajun, the eternal swan song of Liang Zhu and the white snake Xu Xian in an unexpected way, showing silk, tea and misty rain in the south of the Yangtze River vividly, giving people a strong visual shock.
